Arrival & Welcome
Arrival at the airport, where a private driver will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. We check in at Hualta Winery Hotel, the first urban winery hotel in the Americas — a Curio Collection by Hilton property in the heart of Mendoza city with its own micro-winery producing wine on-site. The stay includes a daily breakfast buffet, access to the outdoor pool, and a complimentary daily tasting of the hotel's own wines.
A relaxed Welcome Toast & Introduction in the hotel garden to meet fellow guests, share your connection to the world of food and wine, and set the tone for the days ahead — followed by a short tour through Hualta's own winemaking area, where guests can see the barrels, tanks, and vessels behind the urban winery. From there, La Cabrera Mendoza brings the world-renowned Buenos Aires steakhouse to Hualta for a Traditional Asado Dinner, led by chef Gastón Riveira's signature approach to the Argentine grill — a multi-course celebration of fire and technique, from Wagyu to dry-aged cuts to a classic Angus ojo de bife, paired with a curated selection of Argentine wines.
Los Chacayes & Gualtallary: Precision at Altitude
In the northern reaches of the Valle de Uco, Gualtallary stands as one of the country's most prestigious winegrowing areas. Defined by its remarkable altitude, alluvial soils rich in limestone, and a consistently cool climate, the region fosters slow, precise ripening — resulting in Malbec, Cabernet Franc, and Chardonnay noted for their purity, structural tension, and pronounced mineral character.
A hands-on Harvest Experience with Huentala Wines at La Isabel Estate, the winery's vineyard in Gualtallary at 4,500 feet above sea level. The visit opens with a soil-pit reading led by the winery's own specialists, examining strata, composition, and altitude to understand what shapes the character of the site. From there, guests move into hands-on harvest work in the vineyard — receiving the fruit, selecting clusters and leaves, and separating berries before they go into the tanks, the same steps the estate's winemaking team follows during the height of vendimia. The visit closes with a guided tasting in the cellar.
A Private Estate Lunch at Trinchera, one of Mendoza's highest vineyard estates at 5,200 feet above sea level, where vineyards, native parkland, orchards, a kitchen garden, and a private cellar of 5,000 bottles coexist in quiet harmony. Guests are welcomed by the owners for a seasonal, estate-driven lunch beginning with a traditional charcuterie selection, followed by a composed main course, and concluding with artisan cheeses and desserts — nine estate wines thoughtfully paired throughout.
Check-in at La Morada Lodge, nestled among vineyards at the foothills of the Andes — an intimate property offering a slower, more immersive connection to the Uco Valley. Evening at leisure to settle in and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Valle de Uco: A Mosaic of Soils
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes, Valle de Uco is one of Argentina's most dynamic wine regions, home to over 100 wineries and more than 30,000 hectares of vineyards. Defined by its dry climate, intense sunlight, and wide diurnal shifts, the valley reveals a striking mosaic of soils that can vary dramatically within short distances, shaping wines of precision, freshness, and a profound sense of place.
A deep dive into Zuccardi, one of Argentina's most forward-thinking wineries, where landscape, architecture, and viticulture come together. Guided by the winemaker through the vineyards and cellar, the experience offers a precise look into the identity of high-altitude wines and culminates in a 7-course paired lunch. Consistently ranked among the world's leading wineries and a Hall of Fame member of World's Best Vineyards, Zuccardi stands as a benchmark of the New World.
Return to La Morada Lodge for free time to relax and enjoy the lodge at your own pace, before VIP entry to La Morada's signature Food & Wine Festival — an open-air evening bringing together the region's leading wineries and chefs, from established producers to the emerging voices shaping the valley's identity. An opportunity to taste from 100 local wineries, enjoy live cooking demonstrations, and dance the night away to a live DJ set under the stars.
Luján de Cuyo: The Land of Malbec
Set against the sunlit foothills of the Andes, Luján de Cuyo holds the distinction of being the first Designation of Origin in the Americas. Its vineyards stretch between 2,600 and 3,600 feet above sea level, where ancient alluvial soils of clay and stone shape wines of depth and character.
Tour, wine tasting, and a 7-course paired lunch at Catena Zapata's Angélica Cocina Maestra, the winery's Michelin-starred restaurant. A Hall of Fame member of World's Best Vineyards and consistently ranked among the World's Most Admired Wine Brands, Catena Zapata is internationally recognized for its pioneering role in reviving Malbec and identifying exceptional high-altitude terroirs in the Andean foothills. And their restaurant was just named one of the Best Winery Restaurants in the World by Wine Enthusiast. The Catena Institute of Wine leads ongoing research aimed at preserving and advancing Malbec and Argentina's wine heritage for the next generation.
A guided Mendoza City Tour reveals the character of one of Argentina's most important wine capitals — its tree-lined avenues, historic squares, and key landmarks, with context on the city's reconstruction after the 1861 earthquake and its evolution into a modern oasis.
Check-in at Hualta Winery Hotel. Evening at leisure to explore the city at your own pace — a curated list of wine bars, specialty shops, and restaurants will be provided.
The Andes & Mendoza City
Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Andes, Potrerillos Lake offers one of the most striking natural settings in the Mendoza region. We embark on an exclusive private sailing excursion across its vivid turquoise waters, composed entirely of melted snow runoff, with the mountain range as our view, complemented by curated snacks and sparkling wines served on board.
A classic mountain dining experience at La Escondida Restaurant in Potrerillos, focused on the Andean landscape and generous, traditional Argentine cuisine. A relaxed three-course paired lunch in an authentic, rustic setting.
Return to Mendoza City. Evening at leisure to explore the city at your own pace.
Luján de Cuyo, Olives & Chacras de Coria
A tour and picnic tasting at Casarena, a historic estate set within a fully restored winery dating back to 1937. Located across diverse vineyard sites in Agrelo and Perdriel, the project interprets the multiple expressions of a single terroir through its Single Vineyard program — rooted in sustainability and estate-grown fruit, combining detailed vineyard research with precise winemaking to articulate the identity and complexity of Luján de Cuyo.
Time to walk, browse local boutiques, or enjoy a coffee in the plaza of Chacras de Coria, a charming residential enclave shaped by late 19th-century European immigration. Once defined by its vineyard estates, Chacras de Coria has evolved into one of Mendoza's most refined wine country settings, where tree-lined streets, boutique wineries, and a vibrant gastronomic scene converge. From there, an Olive Oil Experience, a sensory journey through an acetaia and an olive mill, revealing the craftsmanship behind extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars, concluding with a curated tasting of oils and vinegars paired with regional breads, blue cheese with grape jam, fresh fruits, and sun-dried tomatoes, accompanied by a glass of Malbec or Sauvignon Blanc.
A Farewell Dinner with Tango Show at a contemporary club in the heart of Mendoza, where wine, gastronomy, and culture converge — live tango performances and a cellar of over 7,000 bottles closing out the week in style.

Hey there!
I'm Lexi.
Hey there!
I'm Lexi.
I spent a semester abroad in Tuscany in 2015, and it changed everything. That's where I fell in love with wine, with travel, and with the idea that a meal around a table with good people is one of life's greatest pleasures.
Nearly a decade later, I lead small-group wine retreats to some of the world's top regions, with real insider access: private tastings, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and doors that stay closed to everyone else.
There's a magic in putting a small group of wine lovers around the same table for a week. Strangers become friends fast, and the warm welcomes, long lunches, and unforgettable hospitality stay with you long after you're home.

What will the weather be like?
Late March falls at the tail end of Mendoza's harvest season (vendimia) — warm, sunny days with cool, dry evenings are typical, and it's one of the most beautiful times of year to be in the vineyards. Layers are your friend, especially for early-morning departures and cellar visits.
What should I pack?
- Your passport
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Layers for warm days and cool evenings
- Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses) — high-altitude sun is strong
- A light jacket for the harvest experience and boat excursion
- An appetite for Malbec and delicious food
What's the payment plan?
A 30% deposit is due at booking to secure your spot and is non-refundable. Reservations must be made by December 18, 2026, when we confirm whether the trip has reached its minimum group size. You'll be notified if the trip isn't moving forward, and you'll receive a refund of all payments made. An additional 20% is due by January 1, 2027, with the remaining balance due by February 1, 2027. Credit cards are accepted with no additional fees.
What's the cancellation policy?
All payments are non-refundable, except in the rare case that Lexi's Wine List cancels the trip — including if we don't reach the minimum group size needed to run it. In either case, you'll receive a full refund of all payments made within 14 days. Can't make it? Your reservation can be transferred to another guest at no charge — just let us know their details at least 30 days before departure. We confirm whether the trip has reached its minimum group size by December 18, 2026. If it hasn't, and the trip doesn't move forward, all payments collected to that point are fully refunded. Comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation is required for all travelers. If you need to cancel for a covered reason, you'll file a claim directly with your insurer.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes — comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and medical evacuation is required for all travelers on this trip. Given the non-refundable deposit and cancellation terms, it's an essential safeguard. Get a custom travel insurance quote here.
What are the accommodations like?
You'll spend three nights at Hualta Winery Hotel, the first urban winery hotel in the Americas — a Curio Collection by Hilton property in the heart of Mendoza city with its own micro-winery, daily breakfast buffet, outdoor pool, and a complimentary daily wine tasting. In the Uco Valley, you'll stay at La Morada Lodge, an intimate property nestled among vineyards at the foothills of the Andes with mountain views and a strong sense of place.
How much free time will I have?
The itinerary is thoughtfully paced with structured winery visits and experiences balanced by evenings at leisure and time to wander in Mendoza City, Chacras de Coria, and around La Morada Lodge in the Uco Valley.
What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies?
We can accommodate most dietary restrictions, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and common allergies. Dietary restrictions, along with your full name, landing day and time, and country/city of residence, must be provided no later than 30 days before the program start date so we can coordinate with wineries and restaurants in advance.
What's the group dynamic? Will I fit in?
Our group is intimate — max. 14 guests — and attracts wine-loving travelers of all ages. What brings everyone together is a love of authentic experiences, good wine, and great food. The small group size makes it easy to connect, and past travelers have made lasting friendships.
Can I extend my trip before or after the retreat?
Absolutely! Many guests choose to arrive early or stay longer to explore more of Argentina. We're happy to help you plan the perfect add-on — whether that's more time in Mendoza, a stay in Buenos Aires, or cultural, adventure, and high-mountain excursions arranged through our local partner.
What's your health & safety policy?
We follow current Argentine travel requirements and health guidelines. Comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage is required for all travelers. Some visits take place at higher altitude, so if you're sensitive to altitude, please let us know in advance. If you feel unwell during the trip, let us know immediately — your health and the group's safety are our priority. We also reserve the right to adjust the schedule for weather or accessibility, prioritizing group safety; any cancelled activity will be replaced with one of equivalent viticultural and gastronomic value.
